Digital Library Services PAID INTERNSHIP

Digital Library Services seeks an intern to assist with activities related to the transfer and updating of the library website. The Library is in the process of moving to a new content management system and a new university template.

The DIGITAL LIBRARY SERVICES INTERN will work 10-15 hours per week during the fall semester. Hours will be scheduled Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Employment as an intern is on a semester by semester basis. Continued employment is contingent upon funding and performance. This position may be eligible for internship credit for some majors. Filing for credit is the responsibility of the student.




The DIGITAL LIBRARY SERVICES INTERN will assist with clean up and enhancements to the library’s collection of research guides, evaluate our current website structure and how it fits together with our research guides, help develop usability testing (like card sorting and persona development), and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • OSU student enrolled at least part-time (6 hours undergraduate/ 4 hours graduate).
  • Expertise in HTML and CSS
  • Experience with a content management system
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to perform repetitive work accurately with attention to detail

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Bootstrap
  • Experience with Photoshop and Dreamweaver
  • Experience with front-end languages like PHP and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of information architecture and user experience
